Our flight was Friday morning May 4th at 7:00 a.m. Jadon ended up getting his call that Thursday, May 4th around 11:30 a.m. They asked him if he would report to the MTC the next day at noon. He was so focused and willing to serve at any time. He said yes! Instead of packing his bags for the Bahamas for 6 days, he packed them for his mission for two years! What an amazing example! Of course, we were all in shock but supported him 100%
So the night before we leave for our trip, we got to say bye to Jadon for two years. Such a bitter sweet experience, but his setting apart was amazing and I am so glad that Bracken and I were able to share that with him and my family. He had lots of support there from people who have helped him get back out on his mission. He was home for 21 months and worked super hard to get back out. He is going to the Arizona Tempe Spanish speaking mission. He will be in the MTC until June 12th.
So we went off to the Bahamas without him. It was hard, but we are so happy for him and he is where he needs to be! We had so much fun. The resort was amazing. We went to the pool every day. They had awesome water slides and a super fun lazy river. I just kept thinking the whole time, we need to come back when Jayda is older and realizes how much fun it is. It was so much fun and relaxing. We missed Jadon lots, but hopefully we can go back when he gets home.
