Bahama Mama

We went on an amazing trip this month with my family.  Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas!  It was sooo much fun.  My mom wanted to plan one last trip before Jadon left on his mission.  So she worked very hard to plan around everyone's busy schedules, so she did her best so we would go right after Jadon's finals and hopefully before he was called back out to his mission.  We were originally going to Maui, she had the flights booked and a condo reserved, until about 5 weeks before we were suppose to go my dad found out about the Atlantis Resort.  The Campbell's were going the exact same dates we were planning to go, so my mom switched our whole trip arrangements around!  We had to order Jayda a passport the very next day so it would be here in time.

Our flight was Friday morning May 4th at 7:00 a.m.  Jadon ended up getting his call that Thursday, May 4th around 11:30 a.m.  They asked him if he would report to the MTC the next day at noon.  He was so focused and willing to serve at any time.  He said yes!  Instead of packing his bags for the Bahamas for 6 days, he packed them for his mission for two years!  What an amazing example!  Of course, we were all in shock but supported him 100%

So the night before we leave for our trip, we got to say bye to Jadon for two years.  Such a bitter sweet experience, but his setting apart was amazing and I am so glad that Bracken and I were able to share that with him and my family.  He had lots of support there from people who have helped him get back out on his mission.  He was home for 21 months and worked super hard to get back out.  He is going to the Arizona Tempe Spanish speaking mission.  He will be in the MTC until June 12th.

So we went off to the Bahamas without him.  It was hard, but we are so happy for him and he is where he needs to be!  We had so much fun.  The resort was amazing.  We went to the pool every day.  They had awesome water slides and a super fun lazy river.  I just kept thinking the whole time, we need to come back when Jayda is older and realizes how much fun it is.  It was so much fun and relaxing.  We missed Jadon lots, but hopefully we can go back when he gets home.

Jayda's Blessing Day

What a wonderful day!  We had the opportunity to blessing Jayda on April 15th.  We had the support of so many friends and family.  This little girl is not even 3 months old yet and she is loved by SOO many people.  We are so grateful for those who came.  Bracken did a great job!  He didn't even sounds nervous either.  I was shaking up a storm in my seat.  And doing everything I could to not break into tears, I couldn't help it.  There is just something about seeing a sweet little baby dressed in all white.  It was simply amazing to see my precious little girl in a beautiful dress.  She is so sweet and amazing.  I am more in love every day. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending Jayda to Bracken and I.  We are so lucky to have such an amazing baby girl.  She is the best baby too.  I have loved the past two and a half months of being a mom!  Here are a few photos of Jayda's family and friends supporting her at the blessing.  I did my best getting pics of everyone who came, but I know I missed quite a few.

We love you Jayda!  Thank you for being such a sweetheart!  Mommy and Daddy are so blessed to have you in our lives!  Now stop growing up so fast!  Three months is right around the corner :(
